it is with great pleasure and a huge sense of fulfilment that I draft this mini report as regards the just concluded O3finance.
The event was held between Oct 30th to 10th Nov 2023. The event was okay as it had key leaders of the tech industry in Nigeria and beyond too. Kaspa was fully represented at the event by my humble self, Nwafor Obinna Balor, the Nigerian Ambassador for Kaspa. During the course of the event, I held 10 10-minute sessions each day, citing the advantages and edge that the Kaspa BlockDAG does and laying much emphasis on the Future of Cryptocurrencies and the potential of $KAS as a top 10 cryptocurrency.
During the event, the students showed great enthusiasm throughout the course of my presentations on Kaspa. the enthusiasm was greatly shown by the wallet downloads; we virtually hosted over 20 institutions in the space of the 12 days of the event, and for each institution, we recorded over 20 wallet downloads (Kaspium mobile wallet, Kaspanet Web wallet etc) per institution. The support from the CMF greatly aided in remitting the promise of giving $Kas coins to the wallet downloads, the interest was poised in a big way. (I intentionally didn’t let the students make a post on X as regards the giveaway and posting of their wallet address online to avoid probes due to regulations).
I sent out the coins due for each school to the coordinator of the event, he sent it out to the respective students (they didn’t send me a screenshot of the coins in their wallet, the screenshots I saw were just the wallet downloads side, I basically just saw some students come to their group to tag me and thank me for the receipt of the $KAS coins.)
Moving forward, We hope to see more of these Virtual events to further promote Kaspa.
